Meet the Doctors

The dental profession has provided me the opportunity to help people every day of my life. It is a true blend of art and science. Dentistry is a balanced, extraordinary combination of physical and mental challenges that provide me with the opportunity to grow and improve each day. By helping people improve their oral health, I am able to improve their overall mental and physical health as well. It is a privilege to get to do what I do each day.

I am blessed to work with and be supported by some of the best people on the planet. They are all highly skilled and compassionate in their interactions with our patients. But more importantly, my team creates a bond with many of our patients, making them feel like so much more.

Education and Continuing Education

Dental education is a lifetime activity, and learning improved, cutting-edge techniques I can offer to my patients excites me like nothing else can. I have been very involved in the local Shamrock Study Club since its inception nearly a decade ago. It is part of an international study club known as the Seattle Study Club.

Our focus is to provide our patients with the finest dentistry available today by utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Seattle Study Club members have access to the best clinicians in the entire world. Being a Seattle Study Club member challenges me to improve my clinical skills and treatment planning abilities constantly.

Outside the Office

I was born in Hanson and graduated from our local Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in 1971. I was happy to return home to this great community after dental school to start my career as a dentist and raise my family.

I have been married for more than 35 years to Kathie, who earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing. We have been blessed with four remarkable daughters.

Molly has her doctorate in physical therapy, Noelle has her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Haley has her bachelor’s in nursing, and Dana has a bachelor’s in nursing as well. (Lots of nurses in this family!)

When I have free time, I love to play guitar, cook, play pool, travel with my wife and family, and entertain guests at our home.

I used to be very involved in our local youth soccer program, and coached for more than ten years. I was also very involved in teaching religious education, and helped as a bingo worker at my children’s former high school. Community involvement is so important because everyone works together, and you make so many new friends and contacts, which helps build community.
